Unusual and Interesting Photos

Part 1


1. What is your reaction to his work?
They sort of make me feel a little dizzy, they seem to be photos of known landmarks, or structors.  

2. How do you think he made these photos?
I think he took different photos, all in different potions and then layered them on top of each other.

3 Think about some buildings you have seen, which ones would be good to take a photo like this? Tell me about those buildings, where are they, could you get easy access to them?
A good building or structor would be the Washington Monument, really any building in DC is a good building to shoot.  The Alamo in San Antonio could possible be a good structor to use, or even the Tower of the America's in San Antonio, it would be a hour drive or so from Austin.

1. Why did you pick this photo?
I really like bears, and personally its a pretty cool action shot, I don't know how many times you can catch one of natures animals catching its prey. 
2. What category did you find this photo?
ENW (Environment, nature, wildlife).
3. What award did it win (what place)?
2nd Place.
4. What did the photographer do that attracted your eye? (I am not talking about the subject, but what the photographer did)
They captured a bear catching a fish.
5. How much do you think the subject of the photo weighed in the judges minds when they picked this photo as one of the best of 2012?
Not many people can get a clearish shot of a predator catching its prey. 
6. What do you think the photographer had to do that was unique to getting this photo?
They had to get pretty close to a bear. Bears are scary. 

1. Why did you pick this photo?
I like the contrast and the oldish feel it has to it even though it wasn't too old.
2. What category did you find this photo?
Domestic News Single.
3. What award did it win (what place)?
1st Place. 
4. What did the photographer do that attracted your eye? (I am not talking about the subject, but what the photographer did)
I really just like the coloring of the image, its beautiful and contrast of the image.
5. How much do you think the subject of the photo weighed in the judges minds when they picked this photo as one of the best of 2012?
It was after the Hurricane Sandy and the contrast of the image added a tone that sort of reflected to a sad emotion. 
6. What do you think the photographer had to do that was unique to getting this photo?
They possible had to edit the photo to bring the color out more.

It looks like there is a roller coaster in the ocean and the coloring is really appealing to me.

4. What did the photographer do that attracted your eye? (I am not talking about the subject, but what the photographer did)
The coloring and the orange and yellow stick out the most and its just really appealing to me. 
5. How much do you think the subject of the photo weighed in the judges minds when they picked this photo as one of the best of 2012?
They were able to take a photo of after a disaster of a roller coaster that was thrown off a pier. 
6. What do you think the photographer had to do that was unique to getting this photo?
Go to a site that was still potentially dangerous.

3. Then go find a REAL photo that looks like your painting. DO NOT GET AN ACTUAL PHOTO OF THAT PAINTING, find a photo that copies the style of the painting, but is NOT the painting.

4. Did the photographer follow the suggestions fully?
Yes, it shows juxtaposition where you have life, a beautiful historical Chinese temple and then in the back ground you have modern day distopia, with factors and smog.
5. Which style of painting do you think might influence you?
I think strange angles influence me the most because I like to get down to lower angles of my subject or even stand above my subject.
